Crossroads Mechanical are a Department of Transport Authorised Inspection Centre located in Forrestdale. We have a full-time primary Inspector at the workshop, as well as another qualified inspector which means we can inspect and report on vehicles quickly.
Roadworthy Inspections
If you've forgotten to pay your registration, or imported a vehicle from another state or country you may be required to have the vehicle undergo a Roadworthy Inspection.

We allocate 1 hour for a Roadworthy Inspection, once completed we provide you with a certificate if you pass the inspection, if you fail the inspection we provide you with a certificate that details the work that needs to be completed in order for you vehicle to pass.
Dealership / New Car Inspection
We are conveniently located in Forrestdale and have the capacity for new vehicle inspections.
If you're a car dealership and require ute body modification inspections we can complete these with a single business-day turnaround.
With three licensed inspectors on-site we can ensure your vehicles are inspected quickly.

Uber Annual Inspections
If you use your vehicle to carry passengers (such as Uber or a Taxi) you are required to have your vehicle inspected annually to ensure its safety.
The fee for these inspections (and all other DoT Inspections) is set by the Department of Transport and is unable to be modified. The fee for this $162.30 (as at April 2022).
We allow an hour for the inspection and will provide you with a certificate if your vehicle passes. If it does not pass we will provide you with a failure certificate and a list of work that is required.
Yellow Sticker Inspections
If you have received a Yellow Sticker or defect notice on your vehicle for any reason you will be required to have it inspected at an Authorised Department of Transport Centre.
We allow an hour for the inspection and will provide you with a certificate if your vehicle passes. If it does not pass we will provide you with a failure certificate and a list of work that is required.
